Job summary

Vachi HR India Private Limited, a Microsoft solutions partner, is seeking a skilled M365 Engineer to join our delivery team in Delhi. This hands-on role requires owning M365 outcomes for multiple clients, including migrations and ongoing management.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead client calls, and develop SOPs and runbooks. Strong experience with Exchange Online, hybrid setups, Entra ID, and M365 security/compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years hands-on M365 administration experience.
• Proven experience executing M365 migrations - on-prem to M365, tenant-to-tenant, or cutover.
• Exchange hybrid administration - connectors, coexistence, free/busy, mail flow troubleshooting.
• Strong PowerShell scripting for M365 administration and reporting.
• Experience working in an MSP, consulting firm, or multi-client environment.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end M365 migrations - on-prem Exchange to Exchange Online, tenant-to-tenant, hybrid coexistence setup and cutover.
• Administer Exchange Online, Exchange hybrid environments, mail flow, connectors, and messaging security (SPF/DKIM/DMARC).
• Design and implement Conditional Access policies, MFA, and identity governance using Entra ID.
• Manage SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and M365 security and compliance (Purview, DLP, eDiscovery, retention).
• Serve as technical escalation point for junior engineers on M365 issues.
• Lead client-facing calls, gather requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
• Build and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation for managed clients.
• Proactively monitor client environments, identify risks, and drive resolution before incidents occur.
• Support license management, tenant health, and periodic reporting for managed accounts.

Role overview:

We are a Microsoft partner and managed services provider looking for a skilled M365 Engineer to join our delivery team. This is a hands‑on technical role with a strong ownership mindset. You will manage M365 environments for multiple clients, lead migrations, mentor junior engineers, and be the go‑to technical authority for everything in the Microsoft 365 stack.

This role is not internal IT support. You will work directly with clients, own technical outcomes, and operate with high autonomy.

Must have:

• Proven experience executing M365 migrations - on-prem Exchange to M365, cutover, staged, or tenant-to-tenant (not just supporting, must have led or owned a migration)
• Exchange hybrid administration - connectors, coexistence, attribute sync, free/busy, hybrid mail flow troubleshooting
• Strong PowerShell scripting for M365 administration and reporting
• Experience working in an MSP, consulting firm, or multi‑client environment

Good to have:

• Microsoft Purview - eDiscovery, DLP, insider risk, sensitivity labels
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert

What we are not looking for:

• Candidates from large enterprise internal IT with no multi‑client or consulting exposure
• Profiles with Exchange Online breadth but no hybrid or migration experience
• Anyone who has not personally owned or led an M365 migration end‑to‑end
