Job summary

Galaxy Surfactants in Navi Mumbai invites a microbiology analyst to support QC/QA laboratories in GMP environment. The role covers water testing, environmental monitoring, media preparation, sterility checks and routine microbiological analyses across DM water, drinking water, and in-process samples.

The successful candidate will maintain GLP/QMS documentation, follow Cardinal Rules, participate in audits, and drive hygiene and safety practices in plant and packing areas.

Qualifications

• 1. To perform the water sampling, verification of the Chlorine concentration & Ozone concentration and conduct Trend Analysis.
• 2. To perform the microbial analysis (TVC & Specified organism) of DM water, Drinking water & Raw water.
• 3. To monitor manufacturing process of microbiological sensitive products.
• 4. To perform Environmental monitoring in microbiology lab & Packing area.
• 5. To prepare the media as per requirement, maintain media stock & maintain its documentation.
• 6. To perform the Growth promotion test, positive control of the media & verify the sterility of the prepared media.
• 7. To perform visual inspection & to perform microbiological analysis of the rinse water of packing material, steam condensate of tanker,
• 8. To perform swab sampling & testing of the cleaned equipment, Filters & pipe lines etc.
• 9. To perform the microbiological analysis of in-process samples as well as finished product samples by conventional and rapid microbiological Assay method (Biolumix).
• 10. To perform the Preservative Eicacy Test of products.
• 11. To perform the sub culturing, maintenance of the cultures.
• 12. To operate the Autoclave for media sterilization & Accessories sterilization.
• 13. To maintain Documentation of Microbiology laboratory as per QMS and GMP.
• 14. To verify the cleaning & sanitization of microbiology laboratories.
• 15. Conduct Personnel Hygiene Drive for operators working in packing area & canteen sta with target of 50 personnels /month.
• 16. Conduct inspection at various areas such as Manufacturing process, packing area, Tanker loading area, Canteen, WTP area & Filtration systems at Plant.
• 17. Conduct SIR and GMP audits of plant areas as per GMP.
• 18. To identify areas needing to improvement in product/ process at Galaxy.
• 19. Follow and adherence to Cardinal Rules, GMP, Quality, Hygiene, Safety and Metal polices.
• 20. To maintain GLP status of laboratory.
• 21. To perform JH & 5S activity.
• 22. To perform QM of dilution products.
• 23. To do BBS rounds to ensure adherence to safety guideline.
• 24. To perform calibration of Microbiology laboratory equipment.
• 25. To conduct Trainings and spread awareness on Microbiology, GMP, personnel Hygiene in Plant areas.
• 26. To provide QMS related records during internal and external Audits.
