Job summary

Dindayal Industries Limited, Ajmer, Rajasthan, is seeking a qualified Microbiologist to join the Quality Control Laboratory. The role involves microbiological testing of raw materials, finished products, and manufacturing environments to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Microbiology with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in microbiology/quality control, familiarity with GMP, and strong documentation practices in a pharma/herbal

Qualifications

• Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology or relevant specialization.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in Microbiology / Quality Control Laboratory, preferably in Ayurveda, Pharmaceutical, Herbal, or related manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in microbiological analysis and GMP practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Conduct Microbial Limit Tests (MLT) and other routine microbiological analyses.
• Perform microbiological testing and monitoring of water systems.
• Environmental monitoring of manufacturing and laboratory areas.
• Test for specified/pathogenic microorganisms as per standards.
• Prepare and maintain culture media, microbial cultures, and reagents.
• Carry out media preparation, growth promotion tests, and culture maintenance.
• Operate and maintain microbiology laboratory equipment (autoclave, incubator, colony counter, microscope).
• Maintain accurate records, test reports, logbooks and documentation.
• Ensure GMP, SOPs and regulatory compliance.

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Microbiologist to join our Quality Control team. The candidate will be responsible for microbiological testing of raw materials, finished products, and manufacturing environments to ensure compliance with applicable quality, GMP, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing of aw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
• Conduct Microbial Limit Tests (MLT) and other routine microbiological analyses
• Perform microbiological testing and monitoring of water systems
• Conduct environmental monitoring of manufacturing and laboratory areas
• Perform testing for specified/pathogenic microorganisms as per applicable standards
• Prepare and maintain culture media, microbial cultures, and laboratory reagents
• Carry out media preparation, growth promotion tests, and culture maintenance
• Operate and maintain microbiology laboratory equipment such as autoclave, incubator, colony counter, microscope, and related instruments
• Maintain accurate records, test reports, logbooks, and other microbiology laboratory documentation
• Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Investigate microbiological deviations, OOS results, and contamination-related issues in coordination with QC and QA teams
• Ensure proper laboratory hygiene, sterilization, and contamination-control practices

Key Requirements

• Education:** B.Sc. / M.Sc. in **Microbiology** or relevant specialization
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a Microbiology / Quality Control Laboratory , preferably in the Ayurveda, Pharmaceutical, Herbal, or related manufacturing industry
• Hands-on experience in microbiological analysis
• Good knowledge of GMP, laboratory practices, SOPs, and microbiological quality standards
• Experience in handling microbiology laboratory equipment and maintaining proper laboratory documentation
• Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, contamination control, and microbial culture handling
