Role Description

The Micro Executive is a full-time, on-site role based at Elegant Cosmed’s manufacturing facility in Rajkot. This position is responsible for conducting microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements. The Micro Executive will perform routine environmental monitoring of the production and quality-controlled areas, maintain accurate test records, and prepare reports for quality assurance and regulatory teams. Daily tasks include operating and maintaining microbiology laboratory equipment, preparing culture media, performing sterility checks, and supporting validation activities for products and processes. The role also involves collaborating with R&D, production, and QA teams to troubleshoot quality issues, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement of hygiene and safety practices within the facility.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in microbiology, including microbiological testing methods, environmental monitoring, and sterility assessment for cosmetic and personal care products.
• Experience working in GMP-certified or ISO-compliant laboratories or manufacturing environments, with a clear understanding of regulatory and documentation requirements.
• Ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain microbiology lab equipment (e.g., incubators, autoclaves, laminar flow hoods) and prepare culture media and reagents accurately.
• Proficiency in recording test results, preparing technical reports, and maintaining organized and complete lab documentation for audits and quality reviews.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related life science discipline; advanced certifications in quality control or laboratory practices are an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, adherence to hygiene and safety protocols, and ability to identify and elevate potential contamination or quality risks promptly.
• Collaborative mindset to work closely with production, R&D, and quality assurance teams, with effective communication skills and the ability to follow SOPs and timelines.
