The role requires 5–8+ years in professional services, strong domain knowledge in HCM/WFM, and proven coaching skills. You will drive proposals, estimates, and successful transitions from sales to delivery while collaborating across functions.

Qualifications

The role of the Manager, Services Architects is responsible for leading a team of Services Architects who partner with clients and the UKG Sales organization to develop services solutions that meet customer business needs. This role provides leadership, coaching, and operational oversight to ensure the team delivers high-quality services solutions while supporting revenue growth and an exceptional customer experience.

The Manager, Services Architects is expected to maintain a thorough knowledge of UKG's services, practices, and implementation methodologies while partnering closely with Sales, Services Delivery, and other cross-functional teams. This position is responsible for developing team capability, driving operational excellence, managing team performance, and ensuring consistent execution across services opportunities. The manager serves as the primary leader for the Services Architect team while fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and successful business outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Services Architects through regular coaching, performance management, career development, and talent planning.


• Partner with the UKG Sales organization and Services leadership to support the pursuit and successful close of services opportunities.


• Provide leadership and guidance to the Services Architect team throughout the services sales lifecycle.


• Oversee team workload, resource planning, and opportunity assignments to ensure effective support of the business.


• Develop an understanding of customer business objectives, operations, and industry trends while coaching the team on solution development and consultative selling.


• Ensure the team develops effective services approaches, proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), RFP responses, project estimates, and related documentation.


• Partner with Services Delivery leadership to ensure successful transitions from sales to implementation.


• Monitor team pipeline, performance metrics, and operational results using existing systems while communicating status to Sales and Services leadership.


• Drive consistency in services sales processes, tools, templates, and best practices to improve team effectiveness.


• Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives that increase operational efficiency and team performance.


• Support the growth of services revenue by developing a high-performing team capable of delivering value-based services solutions.


• Foster strong working relationships across Sales, Services Delivery, Product, and other cross-functional organizations.


• Participate in Rapid Improvement Team involvement.

Basic Qualifications

• 5-8+ years in a professional services role, ideally including application software implementation and/or services sales.


• 2-3+ years of experience leading, coaching, and developing professional services or customer-facing teams.


• Advanced knowledge and understanding of HCM, WFM, Scheduling, Leave Management, or similar domain products/systems required.


• Previous experience with customer presentations, developing SOWs, responding to RFPs, estimating projects, and negotiating contracts.


• Demonstrated ability to develop and oversee complex services solutions for small to medium business through Enterprise-level organizations.


• Well versed in Launch implementation methodology with experience defining project requirements, managing project engagements, and developing project plans.


• Experience managing team priorities, workload, and operational performance in a fast-paced environment.


• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.

• Ready product experience strongly preferred.


• Proven ability to build, coach, and develop high-performing teams.


• Strong working relationships with Sales and Services organizations.


• Demonstrated consultative selling and negotiation skills.


• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate the services value proposition.


• Ability to effectively communicate and influence C-level executives and senior leaders in an \"influence without authority\" environment.


• Experience developing operational processes, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Understands the impact and implications of political, social, economic, technological, and competitive trends on UKG and customer organizations.


• Working knowledge of nuances of the small to medium business through Enterprise-level business space preferred.


• B.A./B.S. degree, with a focus in Business or Information Technology preferred.
