Job summary

Saaki Argus And Averil Consulting is seeking a metallurgical testing professional in India to conduct metallurgical, mechanical and physical testing of metals and materials following defined standards. You will utilize laboratory instruments to ensure accurate results and contribute to material development through feasibility studies and testing.

The role involves furnace and equipment validation, maintaining laboratory records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct metallurgical, mechanical and physical testing of metals, steel and other materials as per defined standards.
• Perform testing using metallurgical laboratory instruments and equipment and ensure accuracy of test results.
• Support new product and material development through feasibility studies, material characterization and testing.
• Handle furnace validation and process equipment validation activities.
• Maintain the metallurgy laboratory, equipment and records as per defined procedures.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, validation documents and laboratory records.
• Ensure compliance with material and metallurgical standards.
• Support quality improvement, root cause analysis and continuous improvement projects.
• Coordinate with Quality, Production and NPD teams for material and metallurgical requirements.
