Job summary

Virtue America is seeking an experienced MES Engineer to design, configure, and implement MES solutions in pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing. Strong hands-on experience with Körber PAS-X, Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch, FactoryTalk View SE, Rockwell PLCs, and SQL is required.

The role focuses on digitizing operations via electronic batch records, master batch records, system integrations, automated workflows, and real-time exception handling while ensuring GMP compliance and data

Qualifications

• 8+ years of MES implementation, configuration, development, or support.
• Hands-on experience with Körber PAS-X and/or Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch.
• Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE and Rockwell PLCs.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Knowledge of OPC UA/DA and MQTT.
• Understanding of ISA-88/ISA-95 architectures.

Responsibilities

• Author, configure, and maintain MBRs and EBRs to digitize manufacturing instructions.
• Configure MES applications to support production workflows and batch execution.
• Integrate MES with PLCs, SCADA, and enterprise apps using OPC UA/DA and MQTT.
• Develop dynamic operator prompts, electronic signatures, and in-process checks.
• Configure real-time alarm handling and automated notifications.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and reports for operations.
• Troubleshoot Körber PAS-X, Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch, and FactoryTalk View SE.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to integrate Rockwell PLCs with MES.
• Ensure electronic records, audit trails, and signatures meet regulatory requirements.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MES Engineer to design, configure, and implement Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions within a pharmaceutical or life sciences manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Körber PAS-X, Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch, FactoryTalk View SE, Rockwell PLCs, and SQL.

The role focuses on digitizing manufacturing operations through electronic batch records, master batch records, system integrations, automated workflows, and real-time exception handling while ensuring compliance with GMP and data integrity requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Author, configure, and maintain Master Batch Records (MBRs) and Electronic Batch Records (EBRs) to convert paper-based manufacturing instructions into digital workflows.
• Configure MES applications to support manufacturing processes, production workflows, and batch execution.
• Integrate MES platforms with PLCs, SCADA, automation systems, and enterprise applications using OPC UA/DA, MQTT, and other communication protocols.
• Develop dynamic operator prompts, electronic signatures, formula-driven parameters, and in-process checks.
• Configure real-time alarm handling, exception processing, and automated notifications.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries, database objects, and reports to support manufacturing operations.
• Configure and troubleshoot Körber PAS-X, Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch, and FactoryTalk View SE applications.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to integrate Rockwell PLCs with MES applications.
• Ensure electronic records, audit trails, and electronic signatures meet applicable regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent education and technical experience may be considered.
• 8+ years of experience in MES implementation, configuration, development, or support.
• Hands-on experience with Körber PAS-X and/or Rockwell FactoryTalk Batch.
• Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE and Rockwell PLCs.
• Strong SQL and relational database management system (RDBMS) knowledge.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as OPC UA/DA and MQTT.
• Strong understanding of ISA-88 batch control architecture and ISA-95 enterprise-to-control system integration.

Remote - India

• Must be available to work according to US business hours/time zone.
• Cross-functional collaboration with US-based teams.
