Job summary

Global MEP Consultant in Mumbai is seeking a hands-on MEP Engineer – Design & Coordination to work on on-site projects. You will prepare and review electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and HVAC layouts in collaboration with architectural and structural teams.

You will perform load calculations, sizing of equipment, ensure code compliance, coordinate with stakeholders, resolve design clashes, update drawings, and support site teams with technical clarifications, audits, and design improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong MEP and Building Services design experience for multidisciplinary projects.
• Ability to align electrical, plumbing, fire fighting and HVAC with architectural plans.
• Experience with load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Familiarity with NBC, IS, NFPA and ASHRAE standards is preferred.
• Proficient CAD/BIM drawing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Role Description

The MEP Engineer – Design & Coordination is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role involves preparing and reviewing MEP design drawings and documents, including electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and HVAC layouts, in coordination with architectural and structural teams. The individual will perform load calculations, sizing of equipment and services, and ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with project stakeholders, resolving design clashes, updating GFC drawings, and supporting site teams with technical clarifications. The role also requires participation in project meetings, documentation of design decisions, and contribution to MEP audits and design improvements.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) and Building Services design for multidisciplinary projects.
• Candidates should possess skills in MEP Coordination to align electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, HVAC, and related services with architectural and structural plans.
• Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Engineering for power distribution, lighting, safety systems, and load calculation.
• Candidates should possess skills in Plumbing for water supply, drainage, fire fighting piping, and related system design.
• Relevant engineering degree (e.g., B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in MEP design and coordination for residential, commercial, or industrial projects, preferably with consultancy or contracting firms.
• Familiarity with NBC, IS, NFPA, and ASHRAE standards, and practical understanding of code-compliant, execution-oriented solutions.
• Proficiency in CAD/BIM tools used for MEP design and coordination, and strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines on-site.
