Role Summary
The MEP engineer position is responsible for successfully planning, managing, executing, completing, and handing over multiple MEP projects related to commercial fit-outs. The key responsibilities include ensuring timely completion of projects within approved budgets, resources, without compromising on quality and safety, utilizing internal staff, subcontractors, and sub-consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure project estimates are accurate and the scope is executable within the budget.
- Review subcontractor BOQs and invoices for accuracy and completion.
- Responsible for cascading detailed project plans to all stakeholders.
- Maintain organized project files and information for reporting to clients, invoicing, and company performance, adhering to company standards and formats.
- Attend regular meetings with the main contractor and consultants to discuss project progress, coordination, and design issues, and take corrective actions.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules, overseeing performance to ensure on-time, quality, and within-budget project execution.
- Ensure all technical aspects of the projects strictly conform to Conditions of Contract, Specifications, Contract Drawings, and BOQ.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of total experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in fit-outs (interiors) for residential, office, or retail spaces.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to draw detailed project plans, identify risks, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Education: B. Arch or Electrical Engineering degree.
