Qualificações

Role Description

The MEP Design Head Mechanical is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This position leads the mechanical design function for MEP projects, including the planning, design, and review of HVAC, piping, fire-fighting, and other building services systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and validating design concepts, preparing and checking engineering calculations and drawings, coordinating with electrical and plumbing design teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, site teams, vendors, and clients to align designs with project requirements, budget, and timelines. The MEP Design Head Mechanical also mentors design engineers, implements design best practices, supports technical troubleshooting during project execution, and contributes to continuous improvement of design processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical MEP design skills in HVAC, piping, fire-fighting, and building services, with the ability to lead end-to-end design for medium and large-scale projects.
• Proficiency with relevant design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM tools) and competence in engineering calculations, sizing, and layout planning.
• Solid understanding of national and international codes, standards, and regulations applicable to mechanical building services, and experience ensuring design compliance.
• Demonstrated project coordination and leadership capabilities, including mentoring design teams, managing multiple projects, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a focus on safety, quality, and constructability in design.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for client interactions, design presentations, and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent); a master’s degree or relevant professional certifications in MEP or building services design are an advantage.
• Prior experience in an EPC or MEP contracting/design environment, preferably handling pan-India projects and large industrial or commercial facilities.
