Job summary

NEC Corporation of India Ltd. in Noida is seeking a Network Operation Engineer to support network infrastructure, NOC operations and enterprise connectivity. You will monitor, install, configure and troubleshoot, handling incident management with SLA adherence.

The role requires 5–7 years of network engineering experience, strong Cisco expertise, and hands-on with VLANs, IP subnetting and packet analysis. 24x7 shift readiness may be required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in Network Engineering, NOC, ISP or telecom operations.
• Proficient with Cisco routers/switches, LAN/WAN and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on with VLAN, trunk ports, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel, MAC addressing and port security.
• Strong knowledge of IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, TCP/UDP, multicast and related concepts.
• Experience with troubleshooting link down, latency, packet loss and fiber issues.

• Maintain deployment records, health checks, and troubleshooting logs.
• Follow MOP/SOP, change management, escalation and operational procedures.

Role Summary:

We are looking for a technically skilled Network & Telecom Engineer to support network infrastructure, ISP/NOC operations, enterprise connectivity. The candidate will be responsible for network monitoring, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, incident management, health checks, deployment validation, and SLA-based service support.

Must-have Skills

• 5–7 years of experience in Network Infrastructure, NOC, ISP, Enterprise Networking, and Telecom Operations.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches, LAN/WAN connectivity, and enterprise network troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience in VLAN, Access/Trunk Ports, Inter-VLAN Routing, STP/RSTP, EtherChannel/LACP, MAC Addressing, Port Security, CDP/LLDP.
• Good understanding of IPv4/IPv6, IP Addressing, Subnetting, VLSM/CIDR, TCP/UDP, ARP, Unicast, Multicast, and Broadcast.

2. Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, NAT/PAT, ACL, SNMP, NTP, Syslog, SSH/Telnet, and basic network security concepts.
3. CCNA or equivalent networking certification will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and update incidents through Remedy/ITSM tools and ensure resolution within defined SLA.
• Coordinate with NOC, field engineers, OEMs, vendors and customer teams for incident resolution and service restoration.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment records, health‑check reports and troubleshooting logs.
• Follow defined MOP/SOP, change-management, escalation and operational procedures.
• Participate in planned maintenance, network upgrades and implementation activities as required.

Prerequisites:

• Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma / BCA or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Telecommunications or related discipline.
• Experience: 5–7 years in Network Engineering, NOC, ISP, Telecom or Field Network Operations.
• Certification: CCNA preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work in 24×7 / shift‑based operations, if required.
