Behala Institute Of Allied Health Sciences in Kolkata is seeking a teaching-focused faculty member for Medical Laboratory Technology. The candidate should have clinical, laboratory, or teaching experience and be proactive in developing the department to support academic growth.

The role emphasizes conducting theory and practical classes, syllabus development, mentoring students, and organizing academic activities. The position requires travel 5-6 days per week (alternate Saturdays).

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of clinical experience.
• Prior teaching experience will be preferred.
• Strong communication, teaching, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Strong practical and theoretical knowledge & eagerness to learn.
• Basic computer proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular theory and practical classes as per the prescribed curriculum.
• Develop syllabi, prepare course materials, deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and assess student performance.
• Supervise and guide students during laboratory sessions and clinical postings.
• Prepare and update class notes, PowerPoint presentations, digital learning materials, and video demonstrations for SMART CLASS sessions.
• Conduct internal assessments, evaluate students, maintain academic records, and monitor their progress.
• Clarify students' doubts and provide academic guidance and mentoring.
• Assist in organizing health camps, seminars, workshops, and other academic activities.
• Actively contribute to departmental and institutional activities, including professional lecture recordings and promotional/academic content.
