Job summary

Behala Institute Of Allied Health Sciences in Kolkata seeks a candidate with teaching and clinical/training experience for a full-time academic role. You will deliver theory and practical classes, develop syllabi and materials, supervise labs, and mentor students across medical laboratory technology programs.

Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential, with fluency in MS Word/PowerPoint/Excel. Some travel is expected to support campus activities and health camps.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of clinical experience is expected.
• Prior teaching experience will be preferred.
• Strong communication, teaching, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Strong practical and theoretical knowledge & eagerness to learn.
• Basic computer proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular theory and practical classes as per the prescribed curriculum.
• Develop syllabi, prepare course materials, deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and assess student performance.
• Supervise and guide students during laboratory sessions and for clinical postings.
• Prepare and update class notes, PowerPoint presentations, digital learning materials, and video demonstrations for SMART CLASS sessions.
• Conduct internal assessments, evaluate students, maintain academic records, and monitor their progress.
• Clarify students' doubts and provide academic guidance and mentoring.
• Assist in organizing health camps, seminars, workshops, and other academic activities.
• Actively contribute to departmental and institutional activities, including professional lecture recordings and promotional/academic content.
