Job summary

McGraw Hill, a global education innovation leader, seeks a Medical Education Consultant in India to align medical schools, hospitals, and pharma with our content and platforms.

You will engage faculty, map curricula, and expand usage of Navigator and other medical education resources across institutions, while collaborating with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to drive impact.

Qualifications

• MD/MBBS required and a PhD strongly preferred with relevant educational experience.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience after a master's/PhD.
• Experience in medicine and clinical/medical education is essential.
• Strong knowledge of India's medical education sector and curricular standards.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Strong thinking, problem-solving, organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with customers and global teams; travel-ready.
• Willingness to travel internationally and collaborate across teams; proficient with MS Office and online presentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Support India sales in identifying opportunities for Navigator within medical schools and academic institutions.
• Engage faculty and curriculum leaders after the sale to map curricula to program outcomes and teaching activities.
• Help faculty utilize mapped content effectively in courses.
• Coordinate with pharmaceutical partners for medical education content alignment with therapeutic areas and portfolios.
• Demonstrate value of McGraw Hill medical platforms in teaching, clinical decision-making, and team-based learning.
• Collaborate with academic staff to align solutions with institutional goals and with product teams to identify content gaps.
• Serve as the primary medical education point of contact for external stakeholders and internal teams.
• Participate in advisory boards, VIP events, institutional visits, and webinars.

To support our growing business in India, we are hiring a Medical Education Consultant who will play a key role in aligning the needs of medical schools, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies with McGraw Hill's medical education solutions. This role is based in India and involves international travel.

How are you creating an impact?

You will use your clinical and educational expertise to support academic institutions and pharmaceutical partners in India and across international regions. Working closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams, you will help position McGraw Hill as a trusted partner in medical and clinical education.

What will you be doing?

• Support the India sales team in identifying and developing opportunities for Navigator within medical schools and academic institutions, aligned with their curriculum needs and institutional priorities
• Engage faculty and curriculum leaders after the sale, explaining curriculum mapping outcomes and showing how mapped resources align with program learning outcomes, course objectives, and teaching activities
• Help faculty make effective use of mapped content in their courses
• Support pharmaceutical partners with medical and clinical education content alignment across divisions, ensuring materials are scientifically accurate and aligned with therapeutic areas, drug portfolios, and commercial and marketing objectives
• Develop opportunities for McGraw Hill medical platforms (such as Access platforms and Boards & Beyond) within medical schools and hospitals, demonstrating their value in teaching and learning, clinical decision-making, team-based learning, problem-based learning, and diagnostic reasoning
• Collaborate closely with academic staff and institutional leadership to align McGraw Hill solutions with institutional goals
• Work with product teams to identify content gaps and align educational materials with scientific standards, clinical relevance, and therapeutic priorities
• Act as the key medical education point of contact for external academic stakeholders and internal teams
• Participate in and present at company events such as advisory boards, VIP events, institutional visits, and webinars
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of medical education projects, and work with fellow clinical education specialists across MH Professional

We are looking for someone having:

• A medical degree (MD/MBBS); a PhD is strongly preferred, ideally with an educational qualification or academic experience
• At least 5-8 years of experience after a master's/PhD
• A background in both medicine and clinical/medical education
• Strong knowledge of the medical and clinical education sector in India, and a solid understanding of medical curricula in general and Indian curricula in particular
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English
• Strong creative and critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to build trusted relationships with customers and with global colleagues across regions
• Ability to work effectively across teams and manage a travel-sensitive workload
• Comfort travelling internationally
• Proficiency in MS Office and online presentation tools (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.)
