Position Duties and Responsibilities

The Media & Content Manager serves as the central hub for content creation, media management, and editorial oversight across AISC's communications ecosystem. This role combines content strategy with hands‑on production to ensure high‑quality, engaging materials that support the school's storytelling and communication objectives.

The manager oversees media galleries, content creation workflows, and editorial processes while supporting photo and video production initiatives. This role directly impacts content quality, media organization, and the effectiveness of AISC's communications across all channels.

Content Strategy & Creation
  • Develop content aligned with communication and content strategies
  • Serve as copy editor and proofreader for all school communications
  • Create compelling written content for diverse audiences and platforms
  • Coordinate content/conversational calendars and editorial schedules for Social Media, internal & external Bulletins, Website, and all channels where AISC has a presence.
  • Establish editorial calendars and maintain consistent publishing schedules
  • Supports the content creation for relaunching the AISC website
  • Ensure content quality and consistency across platforms and materials
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop technical and educational content
  • Ensure brand vocabulary, voice and tone are consistent across channels.
Media Management
  • Manage comprehensive media galleries and asset libraries
  • Coordinate photo and video editing projects with internal and external teams
  • Develop content creation handbooks and storage, and archival policies
  • Oversee media storage, organization, and accessibility systems
  • Support on-field photo and video capture initiatives
  • Leads Media Google Drive implementation
  • Create and maintain media naming conventions, archive and retrieval systems
  • Maintain archival systems for historical content and media
Editorial & Production Support
  • Provide copy editing and proofreading services for all school communications
  • Develop style guides and editorial standards
  • Train staff on content creation best practices
  • Implement quality control processes for all published materials
  • Ensure compliance with accessibility and inclusion standards
  • Support video and photo editing workflows
  • Coordinate with photographers and videographers
  • Manage content production timelines and deliverables

Qualifications and Profile
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Digital Media, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in content creation, editing, and media management
  • Demonstrated expertise in educational, non-profit, or institutional communications
  • Strong portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples, content strategies, and media production work
  • Experience with international or multicultural audiences preferred
Technical Expertise
  • Content Management Systems: Advanced proficiency with WordPress, Drupal, or similar CMS platforms
  • Media Production: Intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom)
  • Digital Asset Management: Experience with DAM systems, cloud storage, and media organization protocols
  • Social Media Management: Proficiency with scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Buffer), analytics, and platform‑specific content creation
  • Photography/videography: Medium proficiency in producing and editing photos and videos

  • Editorial Excellence: Advanced writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail and grammar
  • Content Strategy: Proven ability to develop content calendars, cross‑platform strategies, and audience‑specific messaging

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with video production and live streaming platforms
  • Certification in Google Analytics, HubSpot, or similar digital marketing platforms
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar)
  • Background in crisis communications or reputation management
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO best practices, and content optimization
Reporting Structure
  • Reports to Director of Advancement
  • Collaborates with Brand & Design Manager and various internal and external stakeholders
  • Direct supervision of Photographer and Videographer
