Job summary

Hightemp Furnaces Ltd. is seeking Mechanical Site Supervisors to oversee fabrication, erection, alignment and commissioning of furnaces and mechanical equipment at various project sites.

The ideal candidate holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering, has hands-on experience in site supervision, and is willing to travel to client locations. You will coordinate with procurement, contractors, and internal teams to ensure safety, quality, and on-time completion of installations.

Qualifications

• BE mandatory.
• Experience in mechanical site supervision, fabrication, erection, alignment, or commissioning.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Knowledge of drawings, BOQ preparation, material planning, and contractor billing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fabrication, erection, alignment, and commissioning of mechanical equipment in DRI Kiln and RMHS (Raw Material Handling System) areas.
• Ensure site execution activities are completed as per approved engineering drawings, project schedules, and quality standards.
• Manage site manpower, allocate daily work, and coordinate with contractors for smooth execution.
• Prepare material bills, quantity take-offs, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on engineering drawings.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to arrange materials according to project drawings and site requirements.
• Verify contractors' running bills and final bills against the actual work completed and contractual terms.
• Coordinate with project, purchase, and accounts teams to ensure timely documentation and smooth workflow.
• Ensure compliance with site safety regulations, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Travel to project sites as required for installation, erection, and commissioning activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• Experience in mechanical site supervision, fabrication, erection, alignment, or commissioning.
• Candidates from furnace, manufacturing, fabrication, auto components, or related industries will be preferred.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, BOQ preparation, material planning, and contractor billing.
• Good coordination and site management skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as per business requirements.
