Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Delhi is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3–4 years of field experience in chemical and petrochemical project execution. The role covers planning, installation, and erection of structures and piping, plus quality checks and vendor coordination.

Ideal candidates will understand piping welding standards, NDT, testing, and equipment erection. This is a client-facing, hands-on engineering position based in Delhi.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of direct field experience in chemical/petrochemical project execution.
• Experience with equipment handling, piping fabrication/erection, and welding standards.
• Knowledge of NDT, equipment erection, testing, and quality control.
• Experience in preparing SOR for project execution (equipment loading/unloading, erection, painting).
• Experience in procuring agitated/non-agitated vessels, equipment, pumps, valves.
• Vendor follow-up and coordination with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute project activities.
• Float enquiry, obtain quotations, secure technical approvals, install procured items.
• Oversee new projects, erection of structures and equipment, leveling and alignment checks.
• Review GA and Isometrics, ensure fabrication quality, piping erection with supports.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• You will be overall responsible for planning and execution of project activities.
• You will be responsible for floating enquiry, getting quotation, technical approval, installation of procured items.
• You have to look after the new project, erection of structure and equipments, levelling and alignment checking
• GA and Isometrics review and construction of pipelines. Ensuring required quality of fabrication work. Erection and leveling of piping with required supports.

Preferred candidate profile

• Looking for Mechanical Engineer having direct field experience of chemical /petrochemical project execution of
• Chemical process plant and related Utilities of about 3 to 4 years. Exposure is essential to work
• Project experience includes handling of Equipment
• fabrication and Erection of piping, familiar with piping & welding standards ,
• NDT , Equipment erection work , testing, quality control, etc
• Preparing of SOR for project execution which involves equipment loading/unloading/erection, piping fabrication/erection, painting etc.
• Providing specifications for procurement of agitated/non-agitated vessels, equipments, pumps, blowers, piping, valves, special items.
• Follow up with vendors.
