Mechanical Project Engineer (India and Global Support)

Reporting to: Project Manager / Project Lead

Responsibilities

• Deliver multiple onsite projects as overall PM, sub‑level PM, or in commissioning, retrofitment, etc.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and specification.
• Identify high‑risk tasks or issues and drive resolution in a timely manner.
• Analyze project specifications, develop work schedules, and delegate tasks to field teams.
• Ensure all engineering and manufacturing processes are followed by sub‑supplier/contractors.
• Supervise staff and manufacturing processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with other engineers and technical personnel to develop instructional and training manuals.
• Interpret complex 2D/3D drawings and guide sub‑contractors and associates on work.
• Troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
• Conduct research on field developments and network with engineers and professionals.
• Liaise with clients and write reports for responsible leaders.
• Schedule meetings and training sessions when necessary.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Bachelor or Master in Mechanical, Electrical or relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience supervising medium‑to‑high complexity field projects.
• Experience in manufacturing methodologies, metallurgy, fabrication, inspection and international standards.
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical drawings, switch gears, parts and functions.
• Basic skills in AutoCAD or MDT and exposure to PLCs and other automation software.
• Strong verbal and written English language skills.
• Excellent leadership and cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Organized, disciplined, innovative and outgoing team member.
• Experience supervising global multicultural teams.
