Responsibilities

• Analysis & Simulation: Perform harmonic and random vibration analysis and correlate with experiments
• Isolation & Design: Design vibration isolation systems and optimize damping for components
• Testing & Validation: Execute shaker table tests and acoustic signature testing for UAV platforms
• Signal Processing & Data Analysis: Analyze vibration data using FFT and PSD; extract frequency content and loads
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with structures, mechanical design, and avionics teams on survivability under vibration loads

  • Conduct Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) and modal analysis (FEA + experimental correlation)
  • Identify and mitigate resonance risks in UAV structures
• Isolation & Design
  • Design vibration isolation systems (elastomer mounts, wire-rope isolators)
  • Optimize damping, stiffness, and transmissibility for critical components
• Testing & Validation
  • Execute shaker table tests (sine, random, shock)
  • Conduct acoustic signature testing for UAV platforms
  • Perform modal testing and correlate results with simulation models
• Signal Processing & Data Analysis
  • Analyze vibration data using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) and PSD (Power Spectral Density)
  • Process flight log vibration data to extract frequency content, damping, and peak loads
