Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in Mysuru invites a Mechanical Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join the team. The role involves mechanical design for LV/MV switchgear, reading GA and RFQ packages, and ensuring design integrity from concept to shop floor implementation.

Candidate should be familiar with industry standards (IEEE/ANSI/UL485/CSA/NEMA) and proficient with NX/SolidWorks, TeamCenter, and SAP in a PLM environment. Location is Mysore on site.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in mechanical design
• Experience with LV/MV switchgear is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical RFQ packages
• Familiarity with switching standards (IEEE/ANSI/UL/CSA/NEMA)
• Able to create/modify drawings with NX/SolidWorks
• Work with PLM tools like TeamCenter, SAP, Vault, Windchill

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical solutions for LV/MV switchgear and systems.
• Interpret RFQ packages (SLD, GA, layouts, BOM).
• Analyze technical specifications and apply suitable product solutions.
• Review General Arrangement drawings to identify errors and improvements.
• Coordinate with shop floor manufacturing processes.
• Work with PLM tools (TeamCenter, SAP, Vault, Windchill).

We are looking for Mechanical engineer with below skill set.

Location - Mysore.

Job description:

• Some experience in Mechanical design for LV MCC / MV Switchgear and systems
• Experience with Siemens/ABB/Eaton/Schneider Switchgear a bonus
• Ability to analyze technical specifications and apply appropriate product solutions to meet customer expectations efficiently and timely
• Ability to read, understand and evaluate General arrangement to identify errors or potential improvements
• Should be able to understand technical RFQ packages (SLD, General Arrangement, layouts, Mechanical BOM)
• Familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, UL485, CSA and NEMA standards for LV / MV Switchgear
• Proven ability to create, convert & modify drawings with UG NX, Solid Works, tools
• Proven ability to work on PLM tools like Team Center, SAP, Autodesk Vault, Windchill etc
• Can able to understand shop floor manufacturing processes and coordination activity
