Valeo India Private Limited is seeking an Engineering Mechanical Engineer to work within the Materials Analysis domain. The role involves coordinating with laboratories in France, defining analysis protocols, and selecting suitable equipment for microstructural investigations including optical microscopy, SEM, and EDS.

The candidate will prepare samples, perform analyses, interpret results, and suggest improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce issues across Valeo projects.

• Technical ability to analyse job requests and define analysis protocols.
• Experience with laboratory analysis planning and project coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Analyse job requests with the Laboratory in France and define analysis protocol.
• Select appropriate equipment and laboratory to perform analysis.
• Prepare samples: cutting, resin, polishing down to 3µm diamond, and metallization.
• Reveal microstructure: chemical delineation, optical microscopy, SEM/EDS analysis.
• Analyse macroscopic and microscopic results and comment on images for orientation.
• Identify additional analyses for deeper investigation (surface analysis, 3D X-ray, CSAM, etc.).
• Provide metrics about activities and interpret results; propose failure mechanism schemes and solutions to improve efficiency.

Main responsibilities

Technical missions In relation with Laboratory in France, analyse job request and define analysis protocol Select appropriate equipment and laboratory to perform analysis Achieve/Manage Sample preparation: cutting, resin, polishing : down to 3µm diamond, and colloidal silica solution metallization, plasma deposition: Gold, Palladium, Carbon…. Reveal microstructure: Chemical delineation (Adler attack solution) Pilot macroscopic inspection with the selected laboratory: Binocular analysis, Optical microscopy analysis, Scanning electron microscopy, Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy elemental chemical analysis. Analyse results of macroscopic and microscopic inspection: analyse quality of the images, react with laboratory if parameters are not corrects, to comment images and give orientation Identify additional analysis necessary for deeper investigation when necessary: surface analysis 3D XRAY, CSAM, etc….. Provide metrics about activities In future i nterpret analysis results: figure out problems, propose failure mechanism scheme, etc…. Propose solutions to improve efficiency and reduce issues Define best practices and design rules, coming from analysis in order to improve efficiency and reduce the issues.

Should have knowledge on executing tasks in project management mode Drive and monitor the Material Analysis activities Provide analysis reports in accordance with existing templates Support project teams for all Division team Involved in the domain meetings via technical presentations. Involved in the technology watch, the research and the deployment of innovative analysis and in order to maintain the excellence in the domain Build credibility to the project teams for all Valeo Business Group team.
