Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Gurugram and help create innovative, elegant and sustainable engineering solutions for complex construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed mechanical engineering design
• Prepare technical schedules
• Plan and manage CAD documentation of design work
• Monitor performance of technician(s) (as appropriate)
• Represent BuroHappold at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers under the guidance of senior staff
• Ensure service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget
• Keep senior staff informed of important and relevant service/design decisions to ensure the objectives of the company and the client are achieved
• Mentor and assist graduate engineers

Qualifications

• 3–6years’ experience in mechanical engineering within an MEP consultancy environment
• Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team‑based organisation while also working independently
• Broad building‑design knowledge from working on a wide range of projects
• Excel skills, including a detailed understanding of macros
• Good understanding of electrical concepts and their impact on the overall project; awareness of other key design team members such as architects, structural and civil engineers
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, IES and Hevacomp software
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed institute
