Job summary

Source-Right seeks a Mechanical Engineer (Design) in Pune to develop and review 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and BOMs using Creo. The role covers engine and genset components, enclosures, cooling, fuel, and mounting structures with a focus on GD&T and DFMEA.

You will support releases, change management, validation, testing, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to deliver robust products. Senior engineers mentor juniors and steer subsystem ownership.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in GD&T and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in 3D Modeling, 2D Drawings, and BOM Management.
• Hands-on experience with Sheet Metal, Fabricated Structures, Castings, Machined Components, and Welded Assemblies.
• Knowledge of Tolerance Stack-up, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and Design Calculations.
• Understanding of Product Development and Engineering Change Management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review 3D CAD models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and BOMs using Creo.
• Design and develop engine and genset components/subsystems such as enclosures, skid structures, cooling systems, fuel systems, air intake, exhaust systems, brackets, covers, piping, and mounting structures.
• Apply GD& T, tolerance stack-up analysis, design calculations, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and engineering best practices.
• Support engineering releases, change management, validation, testing, and issue resolution activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery.
• Participate in design reviews, prototype builds, validation activities, and continuous product improvements.
• Senior/Lead engineers will drive subsystem ownership, mentor junior engineers, and support technical decision-making.
