Going to School is seeking a passionate Mechanical Skill Trainer in Mumbai to deliver practical, industry-relevant training to students. You will help learners develop fundamental mechanical engineering skills, hands‑on knowledge and workplace readiness.

The role involves teaching a broad range of mechanical topics, preparing lesson plans and assessments, and ensuring safety during all sessions. This is a community-driven program under a not-for-profit trust.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering mechanical engineering training to students.
• Ability to create lesson plans and assessments.
• Familiar with workshop safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging classroom and practical training sessions on mechanical engineering concepts.
• Teach topics such as engineering drawing, machine tools, manufacturing processes, welding basics, fitting, metrology, hydraulics, pneumatics, CNC, and CAD/CAM fundamentals.
• Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and assessments.
• Demonstrate the safe use of tools and equipment.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain attendance, training records, and evaluation reports.
• Support students with project work and skill development activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during practical sessions.
• Coordinate with the program team for smooth implementation of training sessions.

Salary: RS 20-30, 000 PM dependent on skills, experience, part-time, full-time.

Days of work: Monday to Saturday, teams go from home to school, and come to the office when schools are closed or are not accessible i.e. for exams.
