Job summary

Botmakers Pvt. Ltd. in Pune, Maharashtra, invites Diploma Engineers (Mechanical or Production/Manufacturing) to join as Diploma Engineer Trainee – Mechanical/Production on-site, as we expand our mechanical team.

You will assist assembly operations, interpret drawings with GD&T, work with suppliers, use mechanical tools, and apply basic metrology (vernier calipers, micrometers) while learning VMC/CNC, turning, milling, EDM, sheet metal and coatings. Freshers welcome.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Production/Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
• Freshers are welcome; up to 1 year of relevant internship / hands-on experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembly operations of mechanical systems and components under supervision.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles.
• Work with suppliers for new component development—ensuring quality, timelines, and coordination.
• Use mechanical tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Work with materials (metals, plastics) and apply basic material knowledge in practical tasks.
• Use measurement and inspection instruments to verify parts meet specifications.
• Understand and assist in manufacturing processes: machining (VMC/CNC), sheet metal, EDM, surface treatments.
• Learn basic metallurgy and heat treatment processes and their effects on material properties.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives—identify areas for process optimization and efficiency.
• Maintain documentation: component specs, inspection logs, process sheets, deviations, supplier records.

Working Hours: 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM (General Shift)
Weekly Off: Sunday
Salary Range: ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 (depending on technical skills &performance)

• Learn basic metallurgy and heat treatment processes,their effects on material properties.
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives—identify areas forprocess optimization and efficiency.
  
• Maintain documentation: component specs, inspection logs,process sheets, deviations, supplier records.
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

Educational

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Production / Manufacturing Engineering (orequivalent).

Technical Skills

• Good ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  
• Familiarity with mechanical tools (Allen keys, screwdrivers,wrenches, cutters, etc.).
  
• Basic knowledge of materials (metals, plastics) and how theybehave under various conditions.
  
• Competency using measuring / inspection instruments accurately.
  
• Understanding (or willingness to learn) manufacturingprocesses: machining (lathe, milling, VMC), sheet metal, EDM, surfacetreatment.
  
• Basic understanding of metallurgy / heat treatment processes and their effects on materials.
