Job summary

Tetra Pak in India is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our global project teams, delivering design and installation support for dairy and beverage processing lines, and advancing value for customers.

You will work with 3D Draughtsmen, prepare 3D models, 2D layouts, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across geographies, visiting sites as needed to ensure quality, schedules, and successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven piping engineering experience, ideally in dairy/beverage or pharma.
  • Understanding of design and assembly of process equipment and machinery.
  • Interest to work on different project phases through commissioning.
  • Demonstrated technical skills and onsite installation understanding.
  • Project management skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Collaborates across multiple geographies and stakeholders.
  • Open to learn new technology.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • University degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Food Technology Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret process and utility P&IDs.
  • Prepare 3D models using Autodesk Plant 3D & Inventor.
  • Create 2D installation layouts for equipment and pipe racks.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver 3D deliverables.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, suppliers and customers for clarifications.
  • Lead clash control meetings with suppliers/customers as needed.
  • Review models and drawings with site installation team.
  • Ensure quality and schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Travel to site to provide installation support and meetings.
  • Act as an ambassador for Tetra Pak.

Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who will work with 3D Draughtsman in implementation project and/or pre-project (L0-L3+ projects) teams spread across the globe. The position will be based in India. To secure that we, create and convey our solutions that provide the greatest value for Tetra Pak and its Customers. Required knowledge and understanding of the engineering practices for the design of food processing machinery, including applied food processing technology. What You Will Do
  • Read and interpret process, utility P&IDs

Profile Description
We believe you have
  • Proven piping engineering experience ideally within the dairy or beverage industry, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • An understanding of the design and assembly of process equipment and machinery.
  • A genuine interest to work on different phases of project delivery, through to the commissioning phase.
  • Demonstrated technical skills, understanding in installation needs and customer operations at site.
  • Project management skills and the self-drive to work autonomously.
  • An open approach, with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across multiple geographies.
  • Open to learn new technology.
  • Overall 2-5 years (Full time) relevant experience.
  • A University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Food Technology Engineering.
