We're looking for passionate Process Engineers based in India. Someone with experience and knowledge of the general principles of food processing and packaging, main equipment, composition, quality, hygienic requirements, and engineering practices including plant and process line design, applied food processing technology, hygienic and general machine design, testing methods, and manufacturing techniques.

What you will do
- Build technical expertise in specific machines, participate in platform development, and act as the first point of contact for other engineers.
- Lead short-term teams for internal process or engineering development projects.
- Take process responsibility for customized and less complex BU BPU and Line projects, managing cost, time, quality, and scope.
- Demonstrate excellent technical skills, including installation needs and customer operations at site.
- Understand the product portfolio and its functionality.
- Deliver process design specifications, templates, and drawings for all projects.
- Drive project productivity through reusable solutions, standard components, and processes.
- Perform lessons learned and contribute to process, template, and tool improvements.
- Support development and enhancement of processes, templates, and tools.
- Mentor junior engineers and develop their capabilities.
- Resolve issues and handle queries.
- Understand the scope of supply as per contract or order form.
- Develop flowcharts (P&ID) and item lists for processing systems.
- Perform calculations and select piping, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, instruments, and vessels used in the food industry.
- Ensure system design includes CIP and complies with customer specifications and regulations.
- Proficiently use engineering tools like AutoDesk and Matrix; work with material planning tools like SAP.
- Apply Tetra Pak global engineering concepts and design elements.
- Calculate heat transfer, utility consumption, and prepare basic reports.
- Create project and customer documentation.
- Estimate costs for pre-projects and projects, and plan for cost reductions.
- Work according to project timelines and demanding schedules.
- Participate in testing and reviews during project execution.
We believe you have
- B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Dairy Technology, Food Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in dairy, beverages, or similar liquid food industries
- Proactive problem solver and self-starter
- Positive attitude and continuous learner
- Ambassadorial mindset for Tetra Pak
- Focus on growth and productivity
- Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently
- Excellent communication skills in English
