Job summary

Tetra Pak in India seeks a Senior Process Engineer for Processing Liquid Food Solutions, based in Chakan, Pune. You will apply hygienic design, read layouts and P&ID diagrams, and design production lines for dairy/beverage processing with focus on heat exchangers and equipment selection.

Must have 10+ years in Dairy/Beverages or similar liquid food industries and a relevant engineering degree. Proficiency in AutoDesk/Matrix and plant utility calculations is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of engineering experience in Dairy, Beverages, or similar Liquid Food process industry.
• B.E./B.Tech / M.Tech in Dairy Technology / Food Process Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
• Good understanding of product portfolio and its functionality; proficient in engineering tools.
• Knowledge of heat exchangers and utility calculations; ability to read drawings and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Design production solutions and processes for dairy/beverage liquid foods.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, plant layouts and P&ID diagrams.
• Apply hygienic design and select pumps, valves and instruments as needed.
• Utilize heat exchanger knowledge and perform heat transfer calculations for projects.

We are hiring for the role of Sr Process Engineer in P&F BU Liquid Food Solutions.

We are hiring into the role of Senior Process Engineer in Processing Liquid Food Solutions. This role will report to Engineering manager and is based in Chakan, Pune.

Required knowledge of the general principles of how food products are processed and packaged, the main equipment used, the composition, quality aspects and the hygienic requirements for the equipment, facilities and operators. Expected good knowledge and experience of the engineering practices, including Plants, process lines, applications and technology to do the design of the Production Solutions. Knowledge and understanding of the engineering practices for the design of food processing machinery, including applied food processing technology, hygienic design, general machine design, testing methods and manufacturing technique.

Candidate must have experience:

• Minimum 10+ years of engineering experience in Dairy, Beverages, or similar Liquid Food process industry - Dairy/Beverages/Brewery/Pharma liquid/Edible oil/Chemical or similar Liquid Food process industry .
• Minimum B.E. / B. Tech / M. Tech in Dairy Technology/ Food Process Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering
• Good understanding of product portfolio and its functionality. Proficient in working with engineering tools - AutoDesk, Matrix etc. Knowledge of Different Heat exchangers, Heat transfer calculations & basic reports. Knowledge of different Utilities: Being able to do calculation of plant and module utility consumptions. Being able to read and understand assembly drawings and plant layouts.
• Strong knowledge of engineering practices for the design of food processing machineries/ plant, including applied food processing technology, hygienic design, making P&ID (flow diagram), selection of pumps, valves, instruments and other components
• Strong knowledge and experience in heat exchangers and application
