Job summary

Sobha Interiors in Bengaluru is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (fresher to 2 years) to join the design and drafting team. The role emphasizes CAD drafting, 2D drawings, and 3D modeling using AutoCAD, CATIA, and Solid Edge.

You will work with senior engineers on drawings, BOMs, and fabrication documentation while learning various manufacturing and interior-related mechanical applications.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Fresher to 2 years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, engineering, or related field.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, CATIA, and Solid Edge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify 2D engineering drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop and update 3D models using CATIA and/or Solid Edge.
• Assist in preparing detailed engineering, assembly, and fabrication drawings.
• Interpret drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, designers, production, and project teams.
• Make design modifications based on project requirements and feedback.
• Ensure drawings and models comply with company standards.
• Assist in preparing BOMs and other documentation.
• Support the team in resolving design and fabrication issues.
• Maintain documentation and revision control of drawings and design files.
• Conduct basic checks on dimensions, fitment, manufacturability, and design accuracy.
• Follow company quality, safety, and engineering standards.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Sobha Interiors. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering concepts and basic to good working knowledge of AutoCAD, CATIA, and Solid Edge.

This opportunity is suitable for freshers as well as candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience who are interested in design, drafting, engineering coordination, and interior-related mechanical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify 2D engineering drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
• Develop and update 3D models and mechanical components using CATIA and/or Solid Edge.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
• Coordinate with senior engineers, designers, production, and project teams to understand technical requirements.
• Make necessary design modifications based on project requirements and engineering feedback.
• Ensure drawings and models comply with company standards and project specifications.
• Assist in preparing Bill of Materials (BOM) and other engineering documentation.

• Strong fundamentals in Mechanical Engineering.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 02 years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, engineering, or a related field.
• Freshers with relevant CAD knowledge and academic/project experience are encouraged to apply.

Preferred

• Candidates with academic projects or internships involving AutoCAD, CATIA, Solid Edge, mechanical design, fabrication, or product development.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing, sheet metal, fabrication, or interior-related engineering applications will be an added advantage.
