Job summary

Segula Technologies India invites a Mechanical Engineer to join our Bengaluru team. The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, with hands-on experience in sheetmetal design and PLM systems such as Teamcenter.

You will generate concept designs, mature them into detailed drawings, and author production documentation for assembly and testing of subsea sensors. Proficiency in SolidWorks, NX, and AutoCAD Inventor is essential, along with familiarity with sensors and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university.
• Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes.
• Experience in Sheetmetal design is a must.
• Working knowledge of GDT/GPS.
• Ability to understand scope and generate concept designs.
• Ability to mature concepts and produce detailed drawings.
• Experience with Teamcenter PLM.
• Proficient in SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD Inventor.
• Exposure to PLM is an added advantage.
• Experience with electrical cabinets/equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of sensors, instrumentation, or subsea/marine products.
• Familiarity with engineering calculations, verification, and design validation.
• Experience with engineering change management and product maintenance.
• Develop mechanical parts for Subsea Sensors according to prevailing specifications.
• Prepare drawings and BOM for production in accordance with orders and customer documentation, using Inventor and AutoCAD, with files stored in Teamcenter and SAP.
• Ensure that mechanical design is carried out according to industry norms/procedures, such that mechanical parts is fully documented and analyzed.
• Prepare production documents and procedures to guide production with respect to assembly, testing, calibration and manufacturing.
• Develop production tools, fixtures and test accessories that are required in order to test, calibrate and manufacture the sensors.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical parts for Subsea Sensors according to specifications.
• Prepare drawings and BOMs for production using Inventor/AutoCAD; manage files in Teamcenter and SAP.
• Ensure designs meet industry norms and are fully documented and verifiable.
• Prepare production documents and procedures for assembly, testing, calibration and manufacturing.
• Develop production tools, fixtures, and test accessories for testing and calibration.
