Job summary

Pall Corporation in Pune, on-site, is seeking a design engineer with 1–2 years of experience in Mechanical design for Oil & Gas. You will design, detail, and analyze pressure vessels and piping systems, ensuring safety and adherence to ASME/PED standards.

Strong CAD skills (3D/2D) and familiarity with P&ID, welding, machining, and sealing mechanisms are required. English communication should be excellent, with cross‑functional collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or equivalent with 1–2 years of design experience in Oil & Gas or refinery.
• Experience in pressure vessel design as per ASME/PED.
• Understanding of P&ID, piping systems and skidded systems.
• Good communication in English and knowledge of major manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in 3D and 2D CAD; piping design and structure design tools add advantage.

Responsibilities

• Generate designs meeting customer specs with safe, reliable, robust design.
• Work in cross-functional teams to ensure safety and functionality per requirements and regulations.
• Support technical clarifications with Pall teams, customers, and suppliers; assist troubleshooting.

This position reports to the Director, Global ETO Engineering, Energy+ and is part of the Engineering department, team of Energy+ Business Unit, located in Pune and will be an on-site role.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Generate designs which meets customer specifications and offers safe and reliable/robust design which is easy to manufacture/operate and maintain.
• Work as part of a cross functional team designing and detailing products ensuring safety and functionality are met in accordance with the customer requirements and current legislation.
• Support technical clarification meetings with other groups at Pall as well as customers and suppliers & support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities with customers, suppliers on product technical issues.

Experience & Qualification

• B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical or equivalent) with 1-2 years of Design experience Oil & Gas or Refinery sector.
• Experience in pressure vessel design as per ASME/PED standard.
• Understanding of P&ID, piping systems, skidded systems
• Very good communication, especially English
• Good knowledge of major manufacturing processes including welding, machining, forming, molding/ casting and sealing mechanisms.
• 3D and 2D CAD skills
• Experience of piping design (CAESAR-II) and structure design (StaadPro) will be an advantage
