Job summary

Ideal candidates have 5–6 years in mechanical design, SolidWorks proficiency, Windchill PLM experience, and knowledge of machining and welding.

Design high-voltage cable accessories for global projects

As a Mechanical Design Engineer - Accessories, you will contribute to engineering solutions that support the green transition while working with international teams across tendering, projects, installation, service, and technology functions. Develop mechanical designs for high-voltage cable systems

As a Mechanical Design Engineer - Accessories, you will be responsible for the design and development of cable accessories used in high-voltage cable systems. The role involves creating 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation while ensuring quality and timely delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support customer requirements, product updates, manufacturing considerations, and continuous product improvement activities.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Design cable accessories for high-voltage cable systems
  • Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Update engineering documents based on customer requirements
  • Collaborate with tender, project, installation, procurement, and technology teams
  • Support testing activities, assembly instructions, and product improvement initiatives

The position reports to the Manager Accessories Engineering and works closely with global engineering teams.

Mechanical design professional with collaborative approach

They communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders, are responsible for their work, and approach tasks in a structured manner. You also have:

  • BTech or MTech degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 to 6 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
  • Experience using CAD software, including SolidWorks
  • Experience working with PLM systems and Windchill
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining and welding
  • Knowledge of high-voltage power products or similar industry applications
