Job summary

NKT in Chennai seeks a Master Data Analyst Finance to ensure accurate, governed financial data across ERP, reporting and analytics platforms. You will support reliable financial reporting, controlling, compliance and decision-making while contributing to NKT’s green transition in a global company.

You will maintain master data across Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, GL accounts and Business Partner finance attributes, collaborating with Finance, Controlling, GPOs and data owners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science or related field
• Experience as a Data Analyst or Master Data Analyst within finance or controlling
• Knowledge of Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers and Business Partner finance data
• Practical experience with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA financial master data
• Skills in Power BI, SQL, Qlik, Python and Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities

• Maintain and validate financial master data in ERP systems according to governance processes
• Support data definitions, hierarchies, business rules and finance data standards
• Analyse data quality issues and support cleansing, migration and enrichment activities
• Create reports, dashboards and visualisations for finance master data KPIs
• Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, GPOs, data owners and the MDM team

As Master Data Analyst Finance, you will help ensure accurate, consistent and governed financial data across ERP, reporting and analytics platforms. This is an opportunity to support reliable financial reporting, controlling, compliance and decision-making while contributing to NKT’s green transition in a global company.

Manage finance data quality, governance and reporting

In this role, you will support the Master Data Management team, Finance, Controlling, GPOs and business data owners by maintaining financial master data across objects such as Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, GL accounts and Business Partner finance attributes. You will work with data profiling, cleansing, governance controls, dashboards and SAP S/4HANA-related activities.

Your responsibility will be to:

• Maintain and validate financial master data in ERP systems according to governance processes
• Support data definitions, hierarchies, business rules and finance data standards
• Analyse data quality issues and support cleansing, migration and enrichment activities
• Create reports, dashboards and visualisations for finance master data KPIs
• Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, GPOs, data owners and the MDM team

The position is based in Chennai, reporting to Senior Director, Head of Process Excellence & Master Data.

Detail-oriented finance data professional with global mindset

You approach tasks in a structured and accurate way, with curiosity for solving data-related challenges. You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues and are comfortable turning complex information into practical insights. You enjoy working across teams and countries, building constructive working relationships and supporting shared outcomes in an international environment.

You also have:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
• Experience as a Data Analyst or Master Data Analyst within finance or controlling
• Knowledge of Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers and Business Partner finance data
• Practical experience with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA financial master data
• Skills in Power BI, SQL, Qlik, Python and Microsoft Excel
