Job summary

NKT’s SAP Digital Core team is seeking a Sr. SAP Consultant – Project System to drive a global SAP S/4HANA transformation, supporting energy, construction, and infrastructure projects across Europe and beyond.

You will configure SAP PS to enable precise project costing, planning, and governance while coordinating with international teams. Based in Chennai, you will work across the full project lifecycle, from planning and budgeting to execution and closure, with strong cross‑module integration

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SAP PS implementation and support.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, including Universal Journal and Fiori.
• Knowledge of SAP PS configuration (WBS, budgeting, settlement, results analysis).
• Experience with cross-module integration (FI/CO, MM, SD, PM/EAM, CATS, IM).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field.

• Configure WBS, networks, milestones, budgeting, result analysis methods and settlement.
• Enable integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, PM/EAM, and HR/CATS modules; support testing, problem-solving, and issue resolution.
• Prepare documentation and provide user training; set up reliable project reporting for management and teams.
• Assist with analysis and verification of project results and postings to identify root causes of deviations.

In this role, you will work with SAP PS (Project System) to support project planning, execution, and financial control while collaborating with international teams. Configure and optimize SAP PS across global projects

As a Sr. SAP Consultant – Project System, you will support and enhance SAP PS processes across the full project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, execution, and closure. You will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions, ensuring accurate project costing, reporting, and governance.

Your responsibility will be to:

• Analyse business requirements and configure SAP PS solutions
• Configure WBS, networks, milestones, budgeting, result analysis methods and settlement
• Enable integration with FI/CO, MM, SD, PM/EAM, and HR/CATS modulesSupport testing, problem-solving, and issue resolution
• Prepare documentation and provide user training Set up a reliable and robust project reporting suitable for both management and project teams to track and visualize project progress, results, and variances using embedded analytics or in close collaboration with our data & AI team in Datasphere / MS Fabric.
• Assist with the analysis and verification of project results and postings coming from the PS result analysis method to identify the root cause of deviations.

This role is based in Chennai, with collaboration across global teams and occasional international travel for knowledge transfer and training. You will report to the Senior Manager – IT.

• 8+ years of experience in SAP PS implementation and support

• Experience with cross-module integration (FI/CO, MM, SD, PM/EAM, CATS, IM)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related field
