Job summary

Onward Technologies is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Pune. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical design, particularly with LV switchboards and panelboards, and must be proficient in AutoCAD and 3D CAD tools like Autodesk Inventor.

The role requires a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, and candidates should be able to ensure design-to-manufacturing alignment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical design of LV switchboards and panelboards.

• Knowledge of UL, NEC, NEMA standards and switchboard design guidelines.

• Create and edit Bills of Materials (BOM) and manufacturing documentation.

• Hands‑on experience in mechanical design of LV switchboards, panelboards, MCC/PCC panels
• Expertise in busbar sizing, enclosure selection, and mounting assemblies
• Strong skills in AutoCAD & 3D CAD tools (Autodesk Inventor) for modeling, drawings & fabricated parts design
• Experience in BOM creation/editing, ECR/ECO release, and manufacturing documentation (ENOVIA/Plant systems)
• Knowledge of UL, NEC, NEMA standards and switchboard design guidelines
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and ensure design‑to‑manufacturing alignment
• Good communication and presentation skills
