Job summary

Economode Food Equipment is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Design Engineer to drive study, research and design of both new and existing products. The role emphasizes executing standard and non-standard drawings within agreed timelines and preparing accurate designs along with SAP BOMs.

You will contribute to cost optimization, material margin improvements, and continuous design process enhancements to boost productivity and reduce scrap. Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks and ERP is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) required.
• 5–10 years in equipment manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD tools, GD&T and BOM creation.
• Experience with SAP ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the study, research and design of a companys new product or existing product.
• Execute Design & development (Standard /non Standard) drawings as per agreed timeline.
• Ensure timely Preparation of accurate design.
• Thinking of possible design solutions.
• Ensure preparation of BOM as per drawing in SAP.
• On time delivery of project with Drawing/BOM (SAP)/ technical detail/layout/costing.
• Establish improvement in Material Margin and optimizing the scrap generation (knowledge of nesting of sheet metal part)
• Implement continuous improvement of Design processes and up gradation for better productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure timely handover of design and drawings to the production department.
• Ensure timely Update drawing as per changes happed at the time of production
• Good knowledge of Modeling & GD&T, Good
• Understanding of Drawing.
