Job summary

• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools and feasibility checks.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Neelkanth Engineering Industries, an ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer of wire rope hoists and cranes, is looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our design team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for wire rope hoists, EOT cranes, and related material handling equipment


• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks


• Perform design calculations for load-bearing structures, gearboxes, and drum assemblies


• Review and revise existing designs for cost optimization and performance improvement


• Coordinate with production and QC teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturing accuracy


• Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical documentation


• Ensure designs comply with relevant safety and industry standards

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (mandatory)


• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, and material properties


• Knowledge of crane/hoist components (motors, gearboxes, wire ropes, drums) preferred


• Good analytical and problem-solving skills


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
