Job summary

Skyroot Aerospace Private Limited in Mamidipally, Telangana, invites a Mechanical CAD Engineer to join our space tech team. You will generate 3D models, create 2D drawings with BOM, and ensure GD&T-compliant releases for aerospace components.

Collaboration across design, manufacturing, and quality is essential. Requirements include a Mechanical Engineering degree and 2–3 years' CAD experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Creo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in Mechanical CAD engineering.
• Strong knowledge of CAD modelling, drawings and machine design.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD & Creo.

Responsibilities

• Generate 3D models of components, assemblies, tooling & fixtures.
• Create 2D manufacturing drawings from 3D CAD models with BOM.
• Ensure release of manufacturing drawings with GD&T per aerospace standards.
• Interact with design, manufacturing, integration and quality teams to meet requirements.
• Support product sourcing, purchasing and selection as required by design process.
• Provide technical and engineering support for day-to-day processing and improvements.
• Design feasibility and testing methods to confirm system and product capabilities.
• Develop manufacturing processes by designing/modifying equipment for fabrication, building, assembling and installing components.

Purposeof role: To Assist the test & Integration engineers in team.

Responsibilities:

1. Generate 3D models of the components, assemblies, tooling & fixtures.

2. Create 2D manufacturing drawings from 3D CAD models along with Bill of Materials.

3. Ensure the release of the manufacturing drawings with GD&T as per aerospace standards.

4. Interaction with design, manufacturing, integration and quality teams to ensure the design meets all requirements.

5. Supports product sourcing, purchasing and selection as required by the design process.

6. Provides technical and engineering support for day-to-day processing, product development and process improvements.

7. Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.

8. Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling and installing components.

TechnicalSkills:

1. Strong knowledge of CAD modelling, drawings and machine design with experience in design analyses Experience with SolidWorks, Auto Cad & Creo.

2. Strong knowledge on GD&T.

3. Good understanding of manufacturing processes including turning, milling and welding. Experience with CAM software is a plus ·

4. Willingness to take on non-traditional tasks, roles, responsibilities and challenges needed to accomplish company goals and objectives.
