Job summary

Mott MacDonald India (GDSC) is hiring for a PHE design role in Building Services. You will work on water, drainage, and plumbing design across multiple sites including Ahmedabad, Noida, and Bengaluru, collaborating with cross‑disciplinary teams.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of PHE design experience, proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT/Navisworks, and strong communication skills. Flexible working is available; permanent contract and full-time pattern.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years in PHE design and related plumbing modelling.
• Experience with layout preparations, schematics, and BOQ preparation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks, Aecosim, MicroStation; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare water supply, storm water and drainage layouts and related drawings.
• Provide inputs for design calculations and BOQ.
• Coordinate with MEP and structural disciplines and BIM leads.
• Upload models, run clash checks, and support workflows.
• Meet deliverables within agreed time frames; mentor junior staff.

As part of GDSC in India, you will be working alongside Mott MacDonald international colleagues delivering ambitious projects across a broad range of building types including commercial, residential, retail and offices, education, healthcare, airports, datacenter, hotels, sports and events venues, and Metro & stations. Under this sector, our services span the whole asset cycle from advisory to consulting, through design and delivery, to asset management. With deep understanding of all phases of the building lifecycle, it enables us to give our clients the best-informed engineering and innovative solutions.

Key Deliverables

• Preparation of Water supply layout/storm water design layout/drainage layout, Schematic drawings, statutory approval drawings & material take-off from PHE layouts


• Providing basic inputs for design calculations


• Coordination with other MEP and structural services


• Coordination with other BIM leads for uploading the models, Initiating workflows, Model conversions and effective clash resolving with MEP and other services.


• Work within time limits to complete deliverables on time


• Share knowledge and experience with junior staff in the section and to help develop junior staff


• Handle a team of Modellers independently with minimal supervision.

Candidate Specification :

• Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent in respective engineering discipline


• Possess 4+ years of experience in the field of PHE design as above


• Experience in modelling of plumbing & layout preparations, Schematic diagrams and preparation of BOQ


• Experience in relevant design software such as Auto CAD, REVIT, Navis work, Aecosim, microstation and IT Literacy


• Have good oral and written communication skills
