Job summary

Mott MacDonald is hiring a BIM Engineer in India to develop and maintain BIM MEPF models, coordinate with disciplines, and produce compliant drawings. You will work within a global delivery team to deliver high-quality models and documentation across Buildings, Water, Transport and Energy sectors.

The role requires 4–6 years of Revit MEP experience, a mechanical or electrical engineering background, and familiarity with BIM standards.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Revit MEP modelling and coordination.
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, Electrical, PHE, Fire Protection).
• Familiarity with LOD/LOI requirements and information management.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of BIM automation tools such as Dynamo is desirable.
• Awareness of ISO 19650 standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BIM MEPF models per project requirements and standards.
• Coordinate MEP services with other disciplines and perform clash detection.
• Prepare MEPF drawings, layouts, schedules, and sheet sets from BIM models.
• Create/modify Revit families, templates, and project parameters.
• Work in Revit work sharing environments and maintain model integrity.
• Ensure compliance with Revit modelling standards and naming conventions.
• Review models/drawings for inconsistencies and clashes before submission.
• Support BEPs, modelling standards, workflows, and best practices.
• Participate in coordination meetings to resolve design and constructability issues.
• Carry out clash detection and model reviews using Navisworks/ACC or similar tools.
• Ensure deliverables are accurate, coordinated, and timely.
• Collaborate with senior BIM Engineers and Managers to meet client requirements.
• Maintain model health by adhering to project standards and data management.
• Contribute to BIM workflow improvements and stay updated on new tech.

Job Description

• Develop and maintain accurate BIM MEPF models in line with project requirements, BIM standards, and discipline‑specific guidelines.
• Coordinate MEP services with other disciplines and participate in clash detection exercises to identify and resolve coordination issues.
• Prepare MEPF drawings, layouts, schedules, and sheet sets from BIM models, ensuring compliance with project and company standards.
• Create, modify and manage Revit families, templates and project parameters.
• Work within Revit work sharing environments and maintain model integrity.
• Ensure compliance with Revit modelling standards, naming conventions and content libraries.
• Perform model and drawing reviews to identify inconsistencies, clashes, and modelling errors before submission.
• Support project teams in maintaining model quality, data accuracy, and compliance with Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
• Assist in implementing project BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), modelling standards, workflows, and best practices.
• Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to resolving discipline‑specific design and constructability issues.
• Carry out clash detection and model reviews using tools such as Navisworks, ACC, or similar coordination platforms.
• Ensure deliverables are accurate, coordinated, and completed within agreed project timelines.
• Collaborate with senior BIM Engineers, Coordinators, and Managers to achieve project objectives and client requirements.
• Maintain model health by following naming conventions, project standards, and data management requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on BIM workflows, tools, and processes.
• Stay updated with emerging BIM technologies, software capabilities, and industry best practices.

Candidate Specification

• 4-6 years of hands‑on experience in Revit MEP modelling, coordination and drawing production.
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Good understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, Electrical, Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Fire Protection.
• Familiarity with LOD/LOI requirements and information management principles.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on modelling and drawing accuracy.
• Knowledge of BIM automation tools such as Dynamo or similar scripting solutions is desirable.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and industry best practices is desirable.
• Exposure to multiple sectors is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and adapt to changing project requirements.
