Job summary

Mott MacDonald India’s Global Delivery Services Centre (GDSC) is seeking a Mechanical/PHE Design Engineer to contribute to water, drainage and plumbing projects across building sectors. You will prepare layouts, schematic diagrams and BOQs, supporting design deliverables from concept to completion.

You will work with BIM leads and MEP/structural teams, coordinating model uploads, clash resolution and workflow initiation using AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks, Aecosim and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent in respective engineering discipline.
• Possess 4+ years of experience in PHE design as above.
• Experience in modelling of plumbing and layout preparations, Schematic diagrams and preparation of BOQ.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Water supply layout/storm water design layout/drainage layout, Schematic drawings, statutory approval drawings & material take-off from PHE layouts.
• Providing basic inputs for design calculations.
• Coordination with other MEP and structural services.
• Coordination with other BIM leads for uploading the models, Initiating workflows, Model conversions and effective clash resolving with MEP and other services.
• Work within time limits to complete deliverables on time.
• Share knowledge and experience with junior staff in the section and to help develop junior staff.
• Handle a team of Modellers independently with minimal supervision.

As part of GDSC in India, you will be working alongside Mott MacDonald international colleagues delivering ambitious projects across a broad range of building types including commercial, residential, retail and offices, education, healthcare, airports, datacenter, hotels, sports and events venues, and Metro & stations. Under this sector, our services span the whole asset cycle from advisory to consulting, through design and delivery, to asset management. Key Deliverables

Candidate Specification :

• Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent in respective engineering discipline
• Possess 4+ years of experience in the field of PHE design as above
• Experience in modelling of plumbing & layout preparations, Schematic diagrams and preparation of BOQ
• Experience in relevant design software such as Auto CAD, REVIT, Navis work, Aecosim, microstation and IT Literacy
• Have good oral and written communication skills
