Job summary

IFF is a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences. The role is based in Chennai, India, and you will join a data-driven team focused on accelerating innovation through data and digital transformation.

You will work on master data management, data ingestion pipelines, and analytics, leveraging SAP ECC/S4HANA, Snowflake, and BI tools to enable trusted reference data and smarter decisions across the organization.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience with commercial MDM platforms (e.g., Reltio, Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, Semarchy).
• Worked with SAP ECC or S4/HANA Master data and analyzed inconsistencies across systems.
• Ingested master data using ETL/ELT and integration tools; used SQL for transformation logic.

Where You’ll Make a Difference

• Understand and work with SAP ECC master data structures (Vendor, Customer, Material/Product). Investigate and resolve master data issues.


• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reference data sources and develop strategies for managing reference and master data effectively.


• Build and support data transformations, data ingestion pipelines leveraging SQL, modern data engineering tools, and practices.


• Support batch and file‑based ingestion pipelines (with Airflow / ingestion tools).


• Support data harmonization, SAP BW / IBP data issues, and S/4HANA transition initiatives.


• Contribute to analytics and data use cases (Power BI consumption).

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or any other related discipline.


• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in commercial MDM platforms (such as Reltio, Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, or Semarchy.


• Worked with SAP ECC or S4/HANA Master data (e.g., LFA1, KNA1, MARA, Business Partner), analysed inconsistencies across systems, supported attribute standardization.


• Strong functional knowledge of reference data sources and domain-specific data standards.


• Ingested master data using ETL/ELT or integration tools such as IICS, custom batch jobs, SAP extracts, or flat‑file feeds. Used SQL for building transformation logic in data warehouse.


• Worked or atleast one Cloud MDM implementation (Reltio, Profisee, Semarchy, Stibo, Informatica Cloud MDM SaaS, Syndigo etc.).


• Implemented validation rules for mandatory fields, code normalization, reference data checks, and duplicate detection.


• Strong experience with data analysis, data profiling, and data mapping.

How Would You Stand Out?

• Built or supported master data pipelines on Snowflake (or similar platforms).


• Used SQL (DBT or similar) to build models, apply business logic, and manage dependencies.


• Certification in Snowflake SnowPro Core, AWS Cloud Certification, DAMA CDMP or equivalent is preferred.
