Job summary

Kaygen Consulting in Chennai seeks an MBD Engineer with 3-6 years of hands-on experience in multi-body dynamics and vehicle dynamics. You will work on full-vehicle and subsystem models using MSC Adams and co-simulations with MATLAB/Simulink.

The role requires creating and customizing Adams templates, scripting in Python and ACL for automation, and clear reporting of results with a focus on improving CAE capabilities in the automotive domain.

Qualifications

• ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 3-5 years of experience in multibody simulations and vehicle dynamics.
• Proficiency in MSC Adams -Car/View, Adams/Flex, Adams-Insight, MATLAB and Python.
• Hands-on experience with heavy-vehicle suspensions and full-vehicle modeling.

Responsibilities

• Perform MBD simulations using MSC Adams
• Create system-level and full-vehicle MBD models
• Model heavy-vehicle suspensions (bogie/leaf-spring/air)
• Subsystem analysis (K&C, Steering, suspension) and DOE
• Full vehicle ride and handling simulations
• Load extraction at subsystem and full-vehicle levels
• Correlation with CAE tests
• Interpret results and prepare analysis reports

Job Role: MBD Engineer

Exp: 3-6 years

Location : Chennai

Key Competency:

• Expertise in Multi body dynamic simulation tools MSC Adams A/Car for commercial vehicles is a must.
• Exposure to Adams/Driveline and Adams/Controls
• Hands on experience in full vehicle and sub system level modeling and simulations
• Should have expertise in creating/customizing Adams/Car template building
• Continually strive to develop the tools/methods required to improve CAE MBD simulation capabilities in automotive domain
• Scripting for Adams customization and CAE process automation using python and ACL
• Ability to understand and interpret simulation results.
• Ability to setup models by understanding the physical systems, adopting current best practices and incorporating appropriate assumptions.
• Ability to learn and adapt.
• Trouble shooting and debugging skills.
• Understanding of tire models used for durability and handling
• Experience in MATLAB/Simulink modelling and co-simulation with ADAMS
• Statistical knowledge on Data analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MBD (Multi Body Dynamic) simulation using MSC Adams tools

• Modelling of different types of heavy vehicle suspension (Bogie/Leafspring/Air- suspension systems).
• Perform Subsystem analysis like K&C, Steering/suspension system analysis and optimization/DOE studies.
• Perform Full Vehicle Simulations: Ride and Handling
• Load extraction at subsystem level and full vehicle level
• Knowledge of CAE-test correlation
• Interpretation and understanding simulations results, preparing comprehensive analysis reports, and suggest improvements and recommendations.

Requirements:

Education: ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Work experience: 3-5 years of experience on multibody simulations and vehicle dynamics

Tool experience: Proficient in MSC Adams -Car/View, Adams/Flex, Adams-Insight
