Role & Responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics for Classes 6th to 9th, with strong emphasis on conceptual understanding, problem-solving and mathematical reasoning.
• Build strong mathematical fundamentals that prepare students for higher classes and future competitive examinations.
• Explain mathematical concepts through concept-based teaching, practical examples, diagrams, activities and problem-solving techniques.
• Develop students' understanding of Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Number Systems, Statistics and other school-level Mathematics concepts.
• Introduce age-appropriate competitive-exam-oriented concepts, shortcuts, MCQs and problem-solving techniques.
• Prepare and conduct regular class tests, topic-wise tests, worksheets, assignments and MCQ examinations.
• Analyse students' performance and provide individual academic support wherever required.
• Identify learning gaps and implement appropriate remedial teaching and doubt-clearing sessions.
• Prepare lesson plans, study materials, question banks, worksheets and practice assignments.
• Motivate students to develop logical thinking, analytical skills, numerical ability and mathematical reasoning.
• Encourage students to solve problems using different approaches and develop independent problem-solving skills.
• Coordinate with academic coordinators and other subject teachers for effective curriculum delivery.
• Maintain student performance records and provide regular feedback to parents and academic coordinators.
• Participate in academic activities, examinations, parent-teacher meetings and other institutional programmes as required.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics / Science / Engineering or a relevant subject.
• B.Ed. / M.Ed., B.Sc./M.Sc or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
• 1 to 5 years of teaching experience in school Mathematics, foundation coaching, CBSE/ICSE or competitive-exam-oriented teaching.
• Strong conceptual knowledge of Mathematics and problem-solving techniques.
• Experience teaching Classes 6th to 9th will be preferred.
• Experience in Foundation / Olympiad / NTSE / competitive-exam coaching will be an advantage.
• Good classroom management and student engagement skills.
• Ability to explain difficult mathematical concepts in a simple, clear and student-friendly manner.
• Strong communication, presentation and classroom teaching skills.
• Ability to prepare MCQs, worksheets, competency-based questions and application-oriented problems.
• Willingness to conduct tests, doubt-clearing sessions and remedial classes.
• Ability to use digital teaching tools, smart boards and educational technology will be an advantage.
• Passion for teaching, mentoring and developing students' mathematical abilities.
