TheSecondary School Teacher is responsible for delivering high‑quality teachingthat inspires, challenges and supports students to achieve their fullpotential. The post holder will contribute positively to the academic,pastoral and co‑curricular life of the school, in line with the school’svision and values.
Key Accountabilities
Planning and preparing for students’learning
- Planappropriately using knowledge and understanding of The British SchoolContext.
- Keepabreast of contemporary pedagogical approaches and work to implement bestpractice.
- Possessappropriate content knowledge.
- Have anunderstanding of students’ needs and abilities and design appropriatelearning experiences.
- Identifyappropriate learning outcomes for students.
- Plan andimplement effective assessment for/of learning which enhances outcomes forstudents.
- Teach students across the secondary schoolphase, as determined by annual deployment and timetable allocation, based onschool needs and student enrolment.
Creating an effective learning environment
- Create arespectful classroom environment.
- Establishan effective rapport with students and colleagues.
- Establishand maintain effective classroom management.
- Managephysical space.
- Supportstudents socially, emotionally and academically.

Teaching and learning

Qualification
- Qualifiedteacher with a graduate degree. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience
- Preferably 3 + years teaching experience in an internationalschool.
