Key duties include conducting safety audits and risk assessments, leading incident investigations, developing and delivering training programs, continual improvement in line with HSE management system standards and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization. This role requires strong leadership to manage a team of safety professionals and environmental specialists and collaborate with other functions, regional and global teams to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.**How you’ll make an impact*** Develop and implement HSE management systems, strategies, and policies to align with company goals and regulatory requirements.* Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure preventative and corrective actions are taken.* Lead investigations of incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.* Ensure the organization complies with all local, state, and federal HSE legislation and standards.* Develop and deliver HSE training programs for staff and contractors to build HSE capability across the organization.* Monitoring and measurement: Monitor and evaluate HSE performance metrics, track trends, and analyse data to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.* Perform internal audits and create safety reports for management, providing data and recommendations for improvement.* Liaise with management, employees, and external stakeholders to promote safety and ensure project compliance.* Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance through the implementation of best practices, lessons learned, and feedback mechanisms.
