Job summary

Alstom in Saharanpur, India, is seeking a full-time Material Planner to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials for projects. You will collaborate with Industrial Planning, Logistics, Procurement, and Quality teams, monitor supplier performance, and contribute to risk management strategies.

You will manage supplier portfolios and data accuracy in material planning, while collaborating on supplier improvement plans.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain.
• 3–7 years of experience in supply chain functions.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely delivery of goods and materials that are essential for Alstom’s projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Industrial Planning, Logistics, Procurement, and Quality), monitor supplier performance, and contribute to risk management strategies, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of managing supplier portfolios and ensuring the accuracy of material planning data, but also collaborate on supplier performance improvement plans.

We’ll look to you for:

• Expressing delivery needs to suppliers using dedicated tools
• Monitoring supplier performance KPIs and proposing action plans for improvement
• Ensuring the accuracy of material planning data and ERP settings
• Analyzing supplier confirmations and mitigating risks to production timelines
• Maintaining delivery schedules and tracking missing parts until availability
• Resolving goods receipt issues and ensuring non-conformance replacements

• A Supply Chain certification is a plus
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP
• Strong data analytics and project management basics
