Job summary

Alstom in New Delhi is seeking a full-time Material Planner to strengthen supply chain and planning activities for ongoing projects. You will coordinate material flow, monitor supplier performance, and ensure ERP data reflects contractual terms.

This role interacts with Industrial Planning, Logistics, Procurement and Quality teams to maintain timely deliveries. Candidate should have 3–7 years of related experience, familiarity with ERP systems, and a solid grasp of MRP and inventory management.

Qualifications

• A degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain is preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in supply chain or material planning.
• Experience or understanding of ERP systems and supply chain processes.
• Knowledge of material requirements planning and inventory management.
• Familiarity with supplier delivery performance management.

Responsibilities

• Express delivery needs to suppliers using dedicated tools.
• Ensure availability of goods for projects by following deliveries.
• Monitor and analyze supplier performance KPIs.
• Lead or participate in supplier performance improvement initiatives.
• Contribute supply chain inputs for supplier selection.
• Ensure material planning and ERP settings align with project objectives.
• Manage material planning documents, including call-offs and schedule agreements.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with supply chain disruptions.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your supply chain and material planning expertise in a dynamic and innovative field. Youll work alongside collaborative, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking teammates.

Youll play a pivotal role in ensuring goods are delivered at the right time, quantity, and place to support Alstoms projects and operations. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business (Industrial Planning, Logistics, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering), oversee supplier delivery performance, and contribute to risk management strategies, and much more.

Youll specifically take care of managing supplier portfolios and monitoring delivery performance, but also collaborate with procurement teams to ensure ERP systems reflect contractual agreements effectively.
