Job summary

Alstom is seeking a full-time Material Planner in Saharanpur to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials for rail project needs.

You will work with Industrial Planning, Logistics, Procurement, and Quality teams to monitor supplier performance and contribute to risk management strategies while managing supplier portfolios and data accuracy in planning systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain is required or preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in supply chain/ material planning roles preferred.
• Knowledge of materials requirements planning and inventory management is expected.
• Experience with supplier performance management and ERP systems (SAP) is desirable.
• Supply chain certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Express delivery needs to suppliers using dedicated tools and systems.
• Monitor supplier performance KPIs and propose action plans for improvement.
• Ensure accuracy of material planning data and ERP settings.
• Analyze supplier confirmations and mitigate risks to production timelines.
• Maintain delivery schedules and track missing parts until availability.
• Resolve goods receipt issues and manage non-conformance replacements.

Could you be the full-time Material Planner in Saharanpur we are looking for?

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely delivery of goods and materials that are essential for Alstom's projects. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (Industrial Planning, Logistics, Procurement, and Quality), monitor supplier performance, and contribute to risk management strategies, and much more.

You'll specifically take care of managing supplier portfolios and ensuring the accuracy of material planning data, but also collaborate on supplier performance improvement plans.
