Job summary

ALSTOM Gruppe is seeking a Materials Planner in Nagpur to ensure seamless material flow for production. You will create material requisitions, manage ERP data, and address missing parts, while re-evaluating inventory strategies to balance supply chain efficiency and cost.

The role requires an engineering degree with 6–7 years of experience, including exposure to RS or automotive material planning, SAP MM, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (BE/B.Tech) required.
• 6–7 years experience; or 3–4 years in Alstom at Services Depo.
• Experience with material planning in RS or automotive industry preferred.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Taking care of Material Planning activities at Services Depo.
• Placing orders, tracking shortages and ensuring material availability at depo.
• Coordination with vendors & plant CFT at L2 level for flawless operations.
• Supplier Delivery Performance tracking.
• Demand management & analysis for depo parts.
• Evaluating and improving delivery performance through ERP system settings.
• Initiating corrective actions for stock discrepancies and non-conformities in material planning.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance material planning processes.
• Assuming responsibilities of colleagues in their absence and contributing to team efforts.

Purpose Of Role

You’ll ensure the seamless flow of materials necessary for production, contributing significantly to our operational excellence. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Operations, Warranty, Quality, Warehouse & Planning), optimize logistics parameters, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of creating material requisitions, managing ERP system data, and acting on missing parts in production, but also re-evaluating inventory strategies to balance supply chain efficiency and cost management.

Main Responsibilities

We’ll look to you for:

Taking care of Material Planning activities at Services Depo

• Placing Order, tracking shortages & ensuring material availability at depo

Degree in Engineering (BE or B.Tech) with experience of 6-7 Years / Experience Of 3-4 Years in Alstom at any of Services Depo

Experience or understanding of material planning in RS or the automotive industry is preferred

Knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP (MM Module), and proficiency in MS Office tools

Familiarity with ASCOT and KINAXIS

Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Agility in managing uncertainty and adapting to change

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
